Berlin, 25 February 2020 – ACCENTRO Real Estate AG has acquired a total of 115 units in central Berlin. The residential portfolio has been acquired for EUR 23.9 million. This follows the notarisation of 113 units in other transactions in the capital region for a total of EUR 16.35 million. In addition, properties in Cologne, Bonn and Krefeld will be integrated into the ACCENTRO portfolio in the first half of 2020 for a total of around EUR 7 million.
“The Berlin residential real estate market remains the largest and most liquid German market despite the introduction of the new ‘rent cap’. The economic fundamentals in the German capital are developing healthily, and significantly better than the German average. Demand for condominiums in Berlin remains strong, which is why we will continue to invest here in the future, even as we expand our activities in other regions”, says Jacopo Mingazzini, Managing Director of ACCENTRO Real Estate AG.
ACCENTRO Real Estate AG is a residential property investor and Germany’s market leader in housing privatisations. Its real estate portfolio consisted of around 5,200 units as of 31 December 2020. In addition to Berlin, regional focal points include East German cities and conurbations, as well as the Rhine-Ruhr metro region and Bavaria. The business activity of ACCENTRO comprises four core divisions. These are the tenant-sensitive retailing of condominiums to owner-occupiers and private buy-to-let investors, the sale of real estate portfolios to institutional investors, the set-up and management of a proprietary real estate portfolio, and third-party condominium marketing for property asset holders, investors and developers. The shares of ACCENTRO Real Estate AG are listed on the Prime Standard segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (German securities code number WKN: A0KFKB, ISIN: DE000A0KFKB3). investors.accentro.de
