Berlin, 14 August 2015 - -In the first six months of the ongoing financial year, ACCENTRO Real Estate AG (WKN A0KFKB, ISIN DE000A0KFKB3) achieved the best semi-annual result in the company's history. The consolidated income realised during that time came to 20.0 million euros, after -3.3 million euros by the end of the prior-year period. The prior-year result was influenced mainly by the tax implications that the takeover of the company by ADLER Real Estate AG created. The EBIT rose to 30.5 million euros. This is up from an EBIT of 3.9 million euros reported at mid-year 2014. Earnings per share increased significantly to 0.81 euros. ACCENTRO mainly achieved this result through the sale of a proprietary portfolio in Hohenschönhausen at a substantial profit and by divesting itself of the residual assets in the property development segment. ACCENTRO could therefore intensify focusing on its core business of housing privatisations.
Privatisation Business Kept Gathering Momentum in Q2
In its housing privatisation segment, ACCENTRO Real Estate AG generated revenue in the amount of 10.8 million euros during the first six months of 2015. This is more than twice the mid-year turnover the year before, which had amounted to 4.6 million euros. It was particularly the second quarter of 2015 that contributed to a surge in earnings in this segment, as it accounted for a revenue total of 8.1 million euros. "This year to date, we have already acquired another 1,115 apartments intended for privatisations. These acquisitions lay the ground for our future profits," said Mingazzini.
NAV at 4.62 Euros
The extraordinary result of ACCENTRO Real Estate AG in the first six months of 2015 pushed the shareholders' equity up from 85.9 million euros at year-end 2014 to 106.0 million euros by the key date of 30 June 2015. Over the same period of time, the total assets dropped from 402.2 million euros to 366.0 million euros. The equity ratio increased to 28.9 percent by the end of the first semester of 2015. By the key date of 30 June 2015, the NAV equalled 4.62 euros, which means that company shares traded at a 36.4-percent discount on the NAV that day.
Brisk Performance to be Continued in Second Semester
"We are very confident of our ability to keep up the sound performance during the second half of the year," Mingazzini announced. "Indeed, we expect to see a further rise in sales in our core business."
